LenkenGo is a language-learning tool in limited access. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who else receives it, and what your rights are.

The service is operated from Brazil and hosted in Germany, and is available to people in the European Union. We take account of both the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

1. Who we are

LenkenGo is operated by The Compound Lab, established in Brazil, with the service infrastructure in Germany. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

• Your email and password — the password is never stored; we keep only a hash (scrypt), from which the password cannot be recovered.
• Texts you import — articles, PDFs, EPUBs, links and videos you choose. Stored for your use.
• Audio from videos you import, so you can listen while you read.
• Words and translations — what you mark as known, your progress, and your own translations.
• Product usage — minutes read, words reviewed, daily pace. Used to show you your own progress.
• Technical metadata — IP address and browser type, for security and incident response.
• Subscription — if you subscribe, your plan status. We never store your card details; Stripe holds them.

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We use no tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no commercial trackers.
• We do not use your texts to train any AI model of our own.
• We do not read your texts for advertising purposes.

For LenkenGo to work, however, some data has to pass through other companies. Section 4 says exactly which, and what each one receives.

4. Who else receives your data

These are the services we use to run LenkenGo. Each receives only what is listed.

Replicate, Google, Stripe and YouTube are outside the European Union. We do not send your email or IP address along with the texts — Replicate and Google receive the content, not your identity.

5. Where the data lives

Your data sits on a server in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany), each account in its own separate database. Daily backups are kept for 30 days on the server and also copied to a computer belonging to the operator, in Brazil, in case the server is lost.

6. Your rights

At any time you may:

• Access your data — it is visible throughout the interface.
• Export your vocabulary (CSV) from Vocabulary → Export.
• Correct translations and notes on the word card.
• Delete your account and all your data: /legal/excluir-dados.
• Object to a processing activity, or ask that it be restricted, by writing to us.
• Request your data in a portable format, to take to another service.
• Complain to a supervisory authority — in the EU, the data protection authority of your country; in Brazil, the ANPD.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, the data is removed from the server immediately and disappears from backups within 30 days. Payment records may be kept longer where tax law requires it.

8. Minors

LenkenGo is not intended for people under 16. If we identify an account belonging to a minor, it will be removed.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top changes, and anyone with an active account is notified on their next visit.
